TOPIC: buying lots

All the books talk about getting into single family residential homes but there is so much opportunity out there outside of homes. I've been really into lots because I can get them so cheap and turn them pretty quickly. These guys are right when they say it's all about buy low, sell low.

I was looking at a group of lots in PA and one in FL recently. They were all valued in the lower $20k area and the price to pick them up was for around $2k. Before I purchased I talked to people in the area to figure out what to do once bought though. The FL lot was piggy back on a property with a home on it. The people actually wanted it. I didn't tell them how much I bought it for, of course.

Has anyone else been into lots or is it just me?

I actually saw a bunch of lots here on the marketplace site but haven't bought yet.
