basic tax lien investing question 2 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 1
I feel pretty confident with tax deed investing but am pretty new to tax lien certificates. I have a pretty basic understanding of how it all works but there are still some things I don't know how to do yet.

Is it wiser to just buy many smaller properties that have a lower fair market value without really caring where they are located or should I look more towards properties with higher property values?

Are there any specific things I should look for when viewing a list of all the tax lien properties available?

When considering tax lien certificates the more money you have invested the more money you will make. It's just like any interest based investment.

The liens you buy will largely be determined by how much money you would like to invest.

A standard that we use is generally the higher the tax lien certificate amount the higher the value of the property. Because your tax lien certificate is backed by the real estate for which the lien was placed the higher the value of the property the better.
